Rascal Flatts’ Flatts Fest Opens With 35,000 Fans

Rascal Flatts launched their much-anticipated summer tour, FLATTS FEST, this weekend with two shows and crowds of 35,000. The sold-out, kick-off show in Bristow, Virginia and the Virginia Beach show saw huge crowds show up early to enjoy the ‘fest’ivities including the karaoke challenge presented by Starkey, the “Why Wait” wedding chapel hosted by David’s Bridal and Men’s Wearhouse, the scavenger hunt and more. FLATTS FEST is currently slated to run through September 18 with opening acts Sara Evans, Easton Corbin and Justin Moore. The tour continues this weekend in Chicago and St. Louis after a performance by Rascal Flatts at Country Festival USA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on Friday, June 24.

“We had a blast this weekend seeing our fans and presenting a brand new show,” said Jay DeMarcus. “We worked really hard to put together a concert we thought our fans would enjoy and we’re glad so many came out to have fun before the concerts too.”

Rascal Flatts debuted their first album on Big Machine Records, NOTHING LIKE THIS, last November at #1 on the country album sales chart and became one of only four country acts to debut six consecutive studio albums at #1.
